- Day 1
Fly privately into Juneau Distance: 80 nm*
Begin your Alaskan trip in luxury and style. It's simple and straightforward to arrange a private flight into Juneau, with plenty of private aviation options at your disposal so that you can start your vacation with ease.
From the airport, a private car will whisk you to meet your yacht at Auke Bay. Receive a warm welcome on board your yacht, and settle down with a refreshing drink to begin the first leg of your journey.
In the afternoon, you'll cruise west past Tongass National Forest. As one of the country's largest national forests, you can expect some spectacular scenery, with pine-coated hills rolling on for miles, and mountains haloed by clouds.
Head north to Neka Bay and moor overnight, but don't head to bed without setting some crab traps- they'll be ready to haul in the morning.

Catch some crabs and see some orcaDistance: 20 nm*
Spend the morning fishing for Dungeness crab before doing some exploring. The native village of Hoonah sits on the opposite side of the water where you can stop off and enjoy the various eateries and immerse yourself in the cultural history of the charming town.
From here, cruise into Icy Straight Point, where you can expect a huge variety of wildlife; from sea lions basking on buoys to orcas breaching the surface of the sea during the summer months.
After taking in the sights, head onwards to Takatz Bay. Enjoy a romantic evening cruise beneath the setting sun, before sitting down for a classic Alaskan-style crab cookout on deck. The crab in this region is succulent and meaty, and they're perfect paired with homemade lemon and garlic butter. Plus, everything tastes better when you've caught it yourself!

Discover hidden waterfalls and natural hot springsDistance: 45 nm*
Wake up below the cascading waterfalls on the east side of Baranof Island. There's a cluster of around 6 waterfalls here, and they're a mesmerizing sight to soak up from your yacht. Ell Cove and Kasnyku Falls are among the most beautiful.
This region of Alaska is famed for its salmon, with huge shoals of this prized fish arriving here to complete their fascinating journey from the sea. Try your hand at salmon fishing off the back of your yacht before heading onwards to Warm Springs. There are a total of nine separate hot springs here, with temperatures from lukewarm to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take an afternoon hike through the forests to the glacial blue Baranof Lake. There are many hiking trails around this area, and you may not come across a single soul in this remote wilderness. Be prepared for seeing bears in their natural habitat, and take proper precautions. Step back on your yacht and settle in for an overnight cruise.

- Day 4
Spot some bears at Redoubt LakeDistance: 40 nm*
Wake up on the west side of Baranof Island, where the Sitka Sound is well-known for its bear-watching opportunities.
Cruise over to Redoubt Lake, where you'll be able to see bears in their natural habitat. Many of them come down to the water to feed in the salmon-rich waters, and regularly paddle into the shallows to hunt their prey. They're more prevalent here between July and Septemeber, and you may even spot some little cubs enjoying their first feeding experience.
Your evening will be spent enjoying a delicious meal on deck before cruising onwards to your next destination. Sit out on deck soaking up the sunset with a hot apple cider in hand.

Enjoy whale-watching from your yachtDistance: 20 nm*
Cross Frederick Sound and see whales breaching the surface of the sea and waving at you with their tails.
Whales will be easy to spot from the deck of your yacht, and humpback whales typically migrate along Frederick Sound between May to September. You'll be able to see them executing their unusual feeding patterns, which is known as bubble netting.
After seeing whales, head onwards to Seymour Canal, where you'll be able to see even more bears feeding in one of the most abundant salmon runs in southeast Alaska. Drop anchor at Windfall Harbor for the evening, and take part in a relaxing kayak session across the tranquil waters. Take in the sights of the rugged terrains, dramatic, snow-capped mountains and a blue sea as smooth as polished glass.

Cruise the famous Tracy Arm fjord and see glaciersDistance: 20 nm*
Arrive at the mouth of Holkham Bay and anchor below the Suldum Glacier. You may spot some icebergs floating past, as well as eagles, mountain goats, bears and whales.
The Tracy Arm is widely considered one of the most stunning examples of nature in Alaska. Even in the summer months, you'll be able to see some incredible glaciers, and you may even be able to see 'calving'- which is where chunks of glaciers chip off and fall into the icy blue sea below. The Sawyer Glacier is one of the must-sees in these cruising grounds, and your charter yacht will be able to get you right up close with it.
The region has spiritual connections, so it's a great spot to try out some yoga on deck. The grandeur of the mountains and the inspiring setting of natural wonders will help you feel rebalanced and relaxed in no time. Round off our day with a sundowner as the evening sky turns the mountains pink, orange and red.

Play with water toys around Hobart BayDistance: 30 nm*
For a taste of the Alaskan wilderness head to Hobart Bay. This fascinating little town has a permanent population of just one person according to the last Census, and is home to the abandoned infrastructure of an ex-logging community.
The waters around Port Hobart are scattered with islands that you can cruise past, and you can also take your yacht's water toys out for a quick spin. You'll finish the penultimate day of your Alaska yacht charter feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Disembark in Juneau
