Malta

Whether you want to spend your days sightseeing or simply relaxing in the sun, Malta is the perfect European holiday destination. A group of seven rocky islands in the Mediterranean Sea south of the Italian island of Sicily, only the largest three – Malta, Gozo and Comino – are inhabited. One of the smallest countries in the world, Malta is a melting pot of civilisations going back thousands of years. Though there aren’t a lot of sandy beaches here, there are plenty of lidos and bathing areas complimented by waterside promenades, beach bars and restaurants. Throughout the summer, festivals are a common occurrence, taking place in a different village each weekend.
