Dunk Island

Over the years, Dunk Island has acquired the title of Australia’s most beautiful tropical rainforest island and, with exclusive virgin rainforests, sweeping arcs of golden sand, thriving tropical gardens and glittering waters, it is not hard to see why. Part of the Family Island Group, Dunk Island features a variety of walking tracks, including one that crosses a suspension bridge and continues to Mount Koo-Tal-Oo Lookout, where spectacular vistas across its palm-lined beach can be taken in. Known to Aboriginals as ‘the island of peace and plenty’, the island certainly lives up to its indigenous name.
