Ras Muhammad National Park

First declared as a protected area in the year of 1983, the Ras Muhammad National Park has long attracted visitors from far and wide thanks to the area's outstanding scenery and its magical underwater world. Boasting an area of 185 square miles (480 sq km), 70% of which is a marine environment, it is safe to say, this National Park is home to plenty of exciting experiences that those on an Egypt yacht charter vacation will enjoy.

The coral reefs at the park are famous internationally but make for only half a part of the park’s beauty while the other half lies in the mountains, plains, valleys and sand dunes.

The park encompasses 133 square miles of exquisite marine life and a protected Red Sea Reef that is perfect for snorkeling and exploration. The reef is home to over 220 species of corals, over 1,000 species of fish, 40 species of starfish and 25 species of sea urchins, so there is plenty to keep a lookout for as you adventure around the blissful park. You may also spot a green turtle or a hawksbill turtle, who are lucky enough to call this area their home. 

There is a multitude of fantastic diving spots found around Ras Muhammed, all of which are easily accessible by luxury charter yacht. On the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, this headland is known to be one of the world’s top 10 diving sites, up there with the likes of the Great Barrier Reef and Tiger Beach, which is located on Grand Bahama Island. 

Ras Mohammed’s remarkable biodiversity sets it apart from the rest. Check out Jackfish Alley, Camel Dive and the coral wall of Shark Reef for a dive like no other.
