An exciting and colourful blend of world-class artists, fashion and music, Art Basel Miami is both a favourite winter meeting place for the art world and a superb addition to a Miami or Florida yacht charter.
Showcasing more than 250 of the top international galleries for modern art, Art Basel Miami has become a major player in the art world. Artworks from over 2,000 artists will be on display, ranging from paintings, drawings and sculptures to photographs, film and video.
Running for five days each year, the art event incorporates leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, with work from the masters of modern and contemporary, as well as from a new generation of leading stars.
Not confined to the Miami Beach Convention Center, however, the art is spread across the city transforming the streets of Miami into a district of design. Ambitious artworks and performances, for example, become part of the landscape at local beaches, Collins Park and Soundscape Park.
The event draws more than 70,000 visitors annually and offers an inspiring and exciting week for artists, collectors, curators, critics, and art enthusiasts.
Offering an extensive collection of galleries tailored to all different niches of art, there's plenty to see throughout the exhibition, all of which can be combined with a guided tour in collaboration with Artnexus.
However, if you'd like to visit all the galleries at your own pace, here are the exhibits you won't want to miss.
- Meridians - a collection of large-scale projects which look to push the boundaries of a more traditional layout for an art fair. Curated by Magalí Arriola since 2019.
- Nova - a display of curated works created within the last three years by a small selection of artists.
- Positions - a gallery for getting a taste of new up-and-coming artists.
- Survey - a gallery for showcasing art with historical relevance.
- Edition - a dedicated zone for galleries and publishers of editioned works and prints.
- Kabinett - a group of themed exhibits with historical showcases and solo presentations.
- Main gallery - extensive collection of modern and contemporary art ranging from emerging artists to masters of the 20th century.
Annually hosting the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show (DBMIBS) in February, Miami is no stranger to visiting motor yacht charters. Hosting multiple marinas including SuperYacht Miami at IGY Yacht Haven Grande Miami and the Venetian Marina, there are plenty of opportunities to take in the sights of Miami Beach while attending the Art Basel event.

Tickets for Art Basel Miami are pre-bookable online, with limited places available for each day of the event. General and Premium ticket options can be purchased, along with the children's tickets for ages 12 and under.
First Access Ticket - a one-day ticket to be among the first to enter the exhibition from 11am onwards
Day Ticket - entry to the exhibits at a designated hourly slot, visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
Reduced Day Ticket - discounted entrance to the event for students, senior citizens, veterans and Miami Beach residents
Premium Ticket - a three-day ticket with early access from 11am, complimentary access to select museums in South Florida, and access to the Art Basel Vernissage
Premium+ Ticket - same benefits as Premium Ticket with access to private events and hospitality, an invitation to the elaborate Wolfsonian evening soiree, and exclusive entry to the Collectors Lounge
Premium+ Connection Ticket - featuring the same benefits as the Premium and Premium+ Tickets, the Connection Ticket provides additional extras for extra indulgence along with networking opportunities
Premium+ Discovery Ticket - provides all the benefits of Premium, Premium+, and Premium+ Connection tickets, along with access to exclusive events with curators and artists, guided tours, and specially created one or two-day itinerary
