The first Grand Slam tournament of the year takes place in Melbourne, Australia in January for two fantastic weeks of tennis.
2015 will once again see tennis champions and legends battle against the heat and each other to be crowned the winners of the Australian Open. A combination of world-class tennis, entertainment and facilities, the tournament features the world’s best tennis players and attracts visitors from across the globe keen to enjoy the warm summer weather and exciting tennis matches in one of the country’s most charming cities.
Last year’s tournament featured some of the hottest on-court action ever seen, both in terms of weather and tennis action. Consisting of four days of +40 degree heat, local player Bernard Tomic was forced to pull out following an injury in the first round while Rafa Nadal played an inspirational final against Stan Wawrinka.
