Attracting a spectacular fleet of sailing yachts to Newport, Rhode Island, the Candy Store Cup gets ready for its second edition following the resounding success of last year’s debut event.
Carrying forward the tradition of the Newport Bucket, the Candy Store Cup Superyacht Regatta 2017 will see dozens of world-class sailing yachts compete in three days of thrilling racing on the beautiful waters of Newport in Rhode Island, New England.
As well as an exciting racing programme, the regatta is also renowned for its friendly social program. The competition kicks off with an opening party before the racing gets underway the following day on 27th July, while a post-race yacht hop on Friday night is expected to be a highlight of the event.
Organised by Newport Shipyard and Bannister’s Wharf, the regatta invites superyachts measuring over 27 metres in length to compete for the Candy Store Cup as spectators lined up on the shore are treated to an elegant and exciting spectacle as the yachts go face-to-face.
