Since its inception in 1970, Comic-Con International has become a focal point for the world of comic conventions, bringing together comic creators, science fiction and fantasy authors, film and television directors and producers and more than 130,000 attendees each year.

At the upcoming 2019 edition, the four-day event will include a giant exhibit spanning over 460,000 square feet, film screenings, the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards and a huge programming schedule of hands-on workshops, and educational and academic fixtures.

There will also be a number of satellite events taking place in downtown San Diego, including games, anime and the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival.
