Held annually to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world, the London Design Festival is the gateway to the international creative community.
First staged in 2003, the London Design Festival is one of the world's most significant annual design events and the top festival of contemporary design in the UK. Made up of more than 300 events and exhibitions staged by hundreds of partner organisations across the design spectrum, the 2014 edition of the show is set to be a fantastic showcase of the best in global design.
Conceived by Sir John Sorrell and Ben Evans to build on London's existing design activity, the concept was to create an annual event to promote the city's creativity and draw in the country's greatest thinkers, retailers and educators to deliver a celebration of all things design.
During the Festival period hundreds of festivities take place across London. A dazzling range of events, including major events at the V&A, demonstrate the richness and depth of design activity that takes place in the capital city.
