Gustavia harbour, St Barths
CANCELLED (18 - 21 Mar 2021)
Kicking off on 18 March, Gustavia harbour will be ablaze with activity as the 34th annual St Barths Bucket Regatta gets underway.
Taking place on the blissful Caribbean island of St Barths, the St Barths Bucket Regatta is a mainstay in the calendar for competitive sailors and amateur enthusiasts alike.
Attracting a superb fleet of sailing yachts, the regatta consists of three days of competitive sailing alongside a glitzy programme of social events.
With ideal sailing conditions coupled with the beautiful setting of the Caribbean, the prestigious regatta attracts some of the most impressive superyachts in the world.
Competing yachts are split into six classes based on their performance, with a number of different courses winding around the island.
As well as the main races, there are plenty of other prizes up for the grabs, including the Perini Navi Cup, which is awarded to the best-performing participating Perini Navi yacht.
Enlivening proceedings, a number of shoreside festivities take place over the course of the regatta. Yacht hops and awards ceremonies are on the agenda in the evenings, while Saturday sees the ‘Bucket Bash’ making a return to the five-star Eden Rock hotel.
The St Barths Bucket Regatta is a prime candidate fo a private yacht charter around the Caribbean, either as part of a regatta charter in the thick of the action or as part of a superyacht vacation watching from the sidelines.
