A tour of the famed Cote d'Azur and a luxury charter yacht are a match made in heaven. A vacation in Europe doesn't get much more luxurious than cruising along France’s glamorous south coast. Starting off in the tiny principality of Monaco, your week-long trip takes you through some of the most celebrated locations of the French Riviera. Passing through Cannes and St Tropez, then ending up in the idyllic Marseilles, this is an itinerary which will have you returning year after year.
- Day 1
MonacoDistance: 5 nm*
Start your charter off with a luxurious flourish
Embarking your chosen luxury charter yacht you will have time to settle in to your vessel which will be home for the next week. Your crew will show you around the facilities and give you some time to get the champagne flowing and your belongings unpacked.
With so much to do in such a short space of time, Monaco presents you with some tough decisions as to what to do first. An absolute must while visiting this top quality location is to take some time at one of the local spas. Displaying the full five star service, you can kick start your trip with an indulgent massage or by trying out cold water therapy. Extremely popular in Monaco spas, this treatment sets an arctic temperature to boost your complexion and improve your body's circulation.
Warm yourself back up by taking a stroll across the promenade in the Riviera heat and stop off for an exciting shopping trip in the heart of Monaco. Find some of your favourite designer labels as you browse the best of the collections in this highly sought after shopping precinct before returning to your luxury charter yacht for a freshly prepared afternoon tea.
Changing into your evening wear, head back to shore and try your luck in the world famous Monte Carlo casino. Whether card tables or slots are your game, try a bit of everything whilst working your way through the extravagant list of cocktails on offer. Entertainment is on until late so make the most of your evening and see if lady luck is on your side.
- Day 2
Èze-sur-MerDistance: 25 nm*
Visit an exquisite medieval hilltop citadel
Before spending the afternoon cruising to your next location, take time in the morning to visit Èze-sur-Mer. Nestled on top of a peak, east of Monaco and not far from Nice, this beautiful medieval settlement provides some of the best views of the French Riviera.
The Chapelle de la Sainte Croix is the oldest building in the village, dating back to 1306. The pretty architecture of the chapel and the surrounding buildings create a humble and picturesque atmosphere which makes a visit to this village so worthwhile.
Though at the opposite end of the scale compared to the cosmopolitan Monte Carlo, a morning spent in Èze-sur-Mer will not only give you staggering panoramic views, and fantastic holiday photos, but also the chance to dine in a Michelin star restaurant for a high quality luncheon. Before returning to your luxury charter yacht for an afternoon of cruising and water sports, make a visit to one of the exquisite art galleries to pick up some unique pieces to take home.
- Day 3
CannesDistance: 25 nm*
Shop 'til you drop
Famous for its magnanimous film festival, Cannes takes you back to cosmopolitan France and a continuation of the ultimate level of luxury. This popular stretch of the French Riviera is well known for being a playground for the rich and famous, so where better to mingle with a host of big names and brands.
Meander down the Promenade de la Croisette to be surrounded by palm trees and stunning beaches. Indulge in some sand time to soak up some rays or continue down the walkway to see the beautiful Croisette gardens and take lunch at one of the many favorable French bistros. While in the Croisette area you can take full advantage of the high profile location and indulge in some more shopping. Visit some of your favorite boutiques for some quality pieces before stashing your new purchases on board your yacht and returning to the shore for dinner.
While in Cannes, one of the best places to dine is in the old town. Filled to the brim with a selection of the finest cuisine in the area, it won't be difficult to find a restaurant which matches your style and taste. Try some French delicacies as well as some of your favorite dishes to then finish off with delicious locally made French wines and liqueur coffees.
- Day 4
Saint TropezDistance: 60 nm*
Sun-kissed hotspot for celebrity spotting
From one highly regarded French location to another, the beaches of Saint Tropez are beckoning as soon as you anchor down in the idyllic harbor. Known for its association with tanning products, this location is ideal for topping up a natural Saint Tropez tan which won't rub off on your bed sheets.
Head straight for the impressive stretch of sandy beaches to enjoy the warmth of the sand and maybe a game or two of beach volleyball. The beaches are popular throughout the year so peace and tranquility are difficult to find, but the glorious surroundings make up for it when it comes to breaking out the jet skis for an hour.
If laying on a beach most of the day is too much for you, explore the old port of St Tropez to visit some local businesses and pick up some unique pieces to take home from your travels. Also pay some attention to the vessels in the harbor as it isn't unusual to spot some tall ships.
After a day lapping up the Riviera heat, venture ashore into St Tropez itself to be wined and dined in the most luxurious settings. A particular favorite hotspot for dining in the area is the infamous Le Club 55. Finish off with some indulgent cocktails before returning to your luxury charter yacht for the remainder of the evening.

- Day 5
Sanary-sur-MerDistance: 15 nm*
Enjoy some peace and serenity
Back to the atmosphere of relaxation and peace, the pretty destination of Sanary-sur-Mer will get your laid back vibe back on track. This quaint and romantic fishing village in the Var region does not entertain cruise line tourists so you are much more likely to feel relaxed here.
Time moves by much more slowly as you take in the small community atmosphere and enjoy long delicate walks through some of the quiet beaches. Anchor down a little further away from the village to find your own spot of seclusion to enjoy the peace in.
If you fancy a longer walk, there are many paths through lush fields and olive groves which give you some stunning views of the area. Taking these walks comes with added benefits as you take a break with some of the locals to try products made from the native grown olives.
The evening is yours to spend as you wish. Take dinner on the decking and watch the sunset as you indulge in French wine and dream of your next day touring the French Riviera.
- Day 6
CamargueDistance: 15 nm*
Immerse yourself in nature
For your final stop before Marseilles, the stunning destination of Camargue is everything you need when you think of paradise. Even more secluded than your previous stop at Sanary-sur-Mer, Camargue is the ultimate luxury of sandy beaches, exotic wildlife and pure relaxation.
Part of the national park, Camargue boasts lush green foliage wherever you look as well as many types of native flora and fauna. Taking a stroll through the clearly marked paths will introduce you to views of incredible natural beauty and up close to semi wild animals including pink flamingos. Venturing through the marshlands will also bring you up close to Camargue horses and cattle. Moving back towards the coastline there are some sublime panoramic sweeps to see which makes a desirable spot for a freshly prepared picnic.
The rest of your day can be spent on the quiet, deserted beaches before spending a peaceful evening on board your luxury charter yacht, listening to almost complete silence around you.
- Day 7
Marseille
Explore the bustling port town before saying your final farewells
As the largest city on the Mediterranean coast of France, Marseille has long been an important contributor to the country's economy. The bustling port is enough to show you how busy this destination is and why it plays such a vital role for France.
Disembarking from your luxury charter yacht you may have some time to explore Marseilles before returning home. A good place to visit if you're short on time is Fort Saint Jean, located on the harbor. Consisting of several centuries of building and architecture, this fortification was built by Louis XIV in the 17th century and remains to be a stunning focal point of the old port.
Progressing through Marseille ready to return home you can make several stop offs at various shopping precincts built for the large number of tourists who visit the city every day. Pick up some last minute statement pieces from your favorite brands and take lunch in a quaint bistro before meeting up with your plane home.
