Inspired by the living rooms of an East Coast house, ROTO is situated directly on top of the rocks that run adjacent to the marina. Settling into a tastefully weathered velvet chair, guests can enjoy the breathtaking view of either the marina’s boats, or the castle nestled in the heart of Ibiza’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Dalt Vila.
But if the vintage, 70s-style interior, and stunning panoramic sights aren’t romantic enough for you, then return for dinner at sunset as the restaurant is bathed in a soft red light from ROTO’s iconic neon sign.
Translated as ‘broken’, everything in ROTO– from its interiors to the historic views– is imbued with a sense of nostalgia for a lost loved one. Indeed, its local dishes invoke the flavours of childhood and Ibizan tradition: its patatas a lo pobre (‘poor man’s potatoes’ made with onion and green pepper) are reportedly the best on the island.
