The award winning 55.75m/182'11" expedition yacht 'Hydra' (ex. Nadir) was built by Auroux at their Arachon shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Joseph Artese Design and she was completed in 1974. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Joseph Artese Design and she was last refitted in 2016.
Hydra has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests in 6 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Her features include a movie theatre, satellite communications, WiFi and air conditioning.
Hydra is built with a steel hull and steel superstructure, with steel decks. Powered by twin diesel Cummins (KTA50M2) 1,600hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 10,000 nautical miles from her 350,113 litre fuel tanks at 11 knots. An on board stabilization system ensures comfort when underway. Her water tanks store around 85,882 Litres of fresh water. She was built to BV (Bureau Veritas) classification society rules.
