The 30.8m/101'1" motor yacht 'Excel' (ex. Moon River) was built by Palmer Johnson in Monaco at their Sturgeon Bay, WI shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Anne Fredericks and she was completed in 1997. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of C. Raymond Hunt Associates and she was last refitted in 2009.

Excel is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with aluminium decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-32 ACERT) 1,800hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 22 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 29 knots. Her water tanks store around 3,785 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) classification society rules.
