Nostromo is built with a steel hull and steel superstructure, with teak decks. Nostromo comfortably cruises at 7 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 13 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 15,000 litre fuel tanks at 7 knots. Her water tanks store around 3,500 Litres of fresh water.
