The 49.9m/163'9" motor yacht 'Altair' (ex. Akoya) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house Cristiano Gatto Design and she was delivered to her owner in June 2016. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Omega Architects.

Altair has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M73L) 16-cylinder 3,862hp engines running at 2050rpm, she reaches a maximum speed of 23 knots with a range of up to 3,100 nautical miles from her 68,800 litre fuel tanks at 11 knots. Her water tanks store around 16,200 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, Ⓔ, ✠AMS, ✠ABCU classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.
