The 24.66m/80'11" motor yacht 'South Star' (ex. Edith B) was built by Burger Boat in the United States. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Jack Hargrave and she was last refitted in 1973.

South Star is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with aluminium decks. Powered by twin diesel General Motors (12V71N) engines, she comfortably cruises at 15 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots. Her low draft of 1.71m/5'7" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 6,023 Litres of fresh water.
