Heading to the UK before completing her finishing touches in Barcelona, 466ft (142m) Superyacht DRAGONFLY has departed the Lemwerder construction facility as she prepares for her maiden voyage around the Med.
Successfully completing her sea trials in September 2024, superyacht DRAGONFLY is not currently part of the Lurssen yacht charter fleet, but she's causing quite a stir in the industry with her long list of onboard amenities and her eye-catching military-style aesthetics.
Originally seen back in May 2022, as she was transported ahead of assembly, the captivating motor yacht features design collaborations from German Frers on the exteriors, and Nauta Yachts for the interiors.
Previously known as Project ALI BABA, construction on the superyacht began in 2019, and now, five years later, she is propelling herself straight into the YB100 as one of the world's biggest yachts at number 17 in between 437ft (133.2m) superyacht AL MIRQAB and 444.1ft (135.6m) Lürssen super yacht CRESCENT.
Boasting a gross tonnage of 9,400, she has an abundance of exterior and interior deck space for her owner and their guests to make the most of the onboard experience throughout captivating destinations like the Caribbean or the Med, with amenities including a beach platform, an elevator, dual helipads, and a reported 12-cabin layout for up to 24 sleeping guests.
Featuring a Diesel-Electric Hybrid Propulsion Concept, superyacht DRAGONFLY is among the top 10 longest superyachts to emerge from the Lürssen construction facilities, alongside 511.1ft (156m) superyacht DILBAR and 592.8ft (180.65m) motor yacht AZZAM.
Many details remain shrouded in mystery for superyacht DRAGONFLY, but with her ensemble of both open and sheltered exterior deck spaces and her capacity for an indulgent list of amenities, she is set to provide outstanding voyages to many of the world's most popular yachting destinations.
Superyacht DRAGONFLY is not currently available for charter, however, if you are interested in a motor yacht charter of the same caliber, contact your preferred yacht charter broker today for more information.
