This weekend saw the 55m / 180ft motor yacht GALENE launch at Amels' facilities, marking the 25th hull in the Dutch yard's popular Limited Editions 180 series.
Sold in January 2019, GALENE hit the water for the first time at Amels' facilities in Vlissingen on Sunday.
Her name derives from an Ancient Greek term meaning serenity, tranquillity and calmness.
She features exteriors from Tim Heywood and 'calm and 'subtly art-deco' interiors by Laura Sessa.
Project manager, Elouise Reiff, has said; “The team did the name Galene justice. I am very proud of the hard work done by everyone involved. Through their efforts, the launch went smoothly and according to plan.”
On-board highlights include a spacious sundeck with pool and an owner's suite with folding balcony. She offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in five cabins.
The motor yacht will be hosting her first luxury yacht charters around the Mediterranean this summer.
