Bringing plenty of provisions and helping hands, the 64m/208ft expedition yacht SURI assisted an affected area of Saint Martin this weekend.
Receiving a warm welcome from the locals, SURI arrived at Saint Martin on Sunday loaded with necessary items.
Providing valuable support to the Caribbean island following the recent hurricanes, the expedition yacht and its crew were on hand to help rebuild the iconic hotspot.
With marinas now beginning to reopen, and with many restaurants and attractions fully operational, it is hoped that the destination will shortly return to its glory.
Putting her vast deck space to good use, SURI delivered plenty of bottled water, toiletries, and general supplies to help the Islanders around the more affected areas.
Coming at just the right time, this assistance will be of invaluable use as Saint Martin begins to welcome tourists once again.
Indeed, as we reported last week, the Caribbean is open for business, with a number of stunning destinations prepared for visitors this winter.
Marine services, bars, and restaurants have been opening daily
Renowned for its many beautiful beaches and colorful marine life, Saint Martin has long been a favored destination for private yacht charter vacations.
Ideal for trying out watersports as well as experiencing exciting cultures on the mainland, the island is particularly attractive for wintertime getaways.
As the rebuilding of certain sections of the island continues, YachtCharterFleet will be sure to provide ongoing updates.
