The highly-anticipated charter-ready 101.5m/333ft motor yacht ‘Hull 808’ has been officially been launched from Feadship’s Royal Van Lent yard, becoming the largest ever superyacht to be built by the world-renowned Dutch builder.
In addition to her status as the largest luxury yacht to date built in the Netherlands, surpassing predecessor 99m/274ft superyacht ‘Madame Gu,’ she is also the first Feadship to be fully compliant with the new Passenger Yacht Code regulations and will offer accommodation for more guests than the standard twelve. It has been announced she will accommodate between 16-20 charter guests in eight staterooms, including one VIP full-beam stateroom, a double owner’s stateroom and up to six additional guests in lower deck cabins (this could include security personnel or childcare providers).
Feadship have announced they 'will own and operate her upon completion, as a showpiece of Feadship excellence' alongside accommodation details and information regarding her fully-certified helipad and range of water toys, potentially indicating the following final works she will join the charter market. Following engineering and finishing touches to the upper deck and mast, she will head to the Juliana Lock in Gouda for sea trials in spring.
The yacht is certified for chartering with helicopter operations.
Her sleek, Tim Heywood-designed exterior is complemented indoors by a stylish, bespoke interior styled with veneers, fine leathers and a variety of luxury materials by Francois Zuretti. She will offer a variety of luxurious amenities throughout her 100 metres, with highlights including a fully-operational helipad certified for chartering (similar to her 81m/266ft sistership charter yacht AIR), outdoor cinema and observation lounge with a bar and Jacuzzi area located on her large sundeck. On her next deck, guests will be able to enjoy a 6-metre contraflow swimming pool with a waterfall, with her lower deck additionally offering a glass-bottomed swimming pool alongside a beach club and wellness centre.
Her full-beam master suite is particularly noteworthy, boasting a sauna, a private office, dining area for up to twenty people and a forward terrace complete with Jacuzzi. The vessel will feature state-of-the-art technology to rival any new superyacht, with the latest audio-visual systems throughout, an underwater camera and elevator making the cruising experience as effortless as possible. Hull 808’s impressive selection of water toys will include two Waverunners, two Seabobs, large water slides and an array of inflatables.
Following the recently launched 83.5m/274ft charter yacht SAVANNAH (project 686) from the De Vries yard, the 101.5 Feadship is one of a number of launches lined up for 2015, including a 110m motor yacht (‘Hull 1007’), reportedly ready for delivery in 2018.
