MYBA Charter Show 2019: the 'Essential Viewing' hot list

By Katia Damborsky   26 April 2019

As ever, the MYBA Charter Show has an impressive selection of yachts on the line-up, and YachtCharterFleet is shining the spotlight on some of the must-see superyachts attending the four-day, industry-only yachting meet.

Held in Barcelona’s OneOcean Port Vell between 30 April - 3 May, the MYBA Charter Show 2019 is a mainstay in the calendar for industry professionals in the superyacht sector. Across four days, attendees will be able to tour yachts and gather first-hand information about the yachts at the show.

With around 60 luxury yachts on the line-up, YachtCharterFleet has compiled an 'Essential Viewing' hot list, showcasing some of newest and most impressive, must-see superyachts at MYBA 2019.

CALYPSO

Hitting the waters earlier this year, the Mulder-designed, 36m/118ft superyacht Calypso is fine fusion of tailored design and cutting-edge technology. Photos of her interiors have been kept largely private, but renderings show that they are opulent, but refined, borrowing inspiration from 1920’s art deco styling.

Among her excellent amenities, she enjoys a jacuzzi with a swim-up bar, an owner’s suite with private terrace and spacious swim platform with a beach club. As for exterior features, her contemporary plumb bow will provide stellar seakeeping and increased on-board comfort for those chartering her.

What makes Calypso a must-see superyacht:
This is the first time she will be presented at any show, and she is the newest yacht on the MYBA line-up.

WHEELS

While superyacht Wheels is not a new yacht, she emerged from a refit earlier this year that has left her with a number of enhancements.  The 78m/248ft Oceanco-built superyacht will be showing off her new lounge bar, additional jacuzzi and an upgraded entertainment system at the MYBA Charter Show 2019.

A prime candidate for charter guests looking to party, WHEELS boasts a convertible main salon that transforms into a nightclub with the help of disco lights and smoke panels concealed in the ceiling. She also offers an eight-seater cinema and impressive aquarium.

What makes WHEELS a must-see superyacht:
Her refit means she is in pristine condition, and has a selection of brand new upgrades for show-goers to admire.

SOLO

Launched in 2018 from Tankoa, the 72m/236ft megayacht SOLO is making her MYBA debut this year. The superyacht is a treat for all who step on board, with jaw-dropping interiors from Italian design studio Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. The pair have worked together to create an on-board ambience that is at once discerning and decadent.

The yacht’s exterior spaces are equally lavish, with a sleek, six metre infinity pool on the aft deck and a sundeck spa pool and helipad. She also boasts a well-equipped spa and wellness centre, and waterside gym.

What makes SOLO a must-see superyacht:
Subject to plenty of excitement at the time of her launch, SOLO is worth seeing for her meticulously-crafted interiors and enormous selection of amenities.

'Mimi la Sardine'

Scooping up a top prize for her interior design earlier this year, the 33m/108ft motor yacht ‘Mimi la Sardine’ will be making her show debut at MYBA. Built by Cantiere delle Marche, she exudes a barefoot chic energy from her light-infused on-board spaces.

With plenty of blondewood surfaces contrasted by rich bronze accents, the yacht has the feeling of an upscale, Balinese beach house. Her sundeck is the perfect setting for both relaxing and socialising, and benefits from a glass-rimmed jacuzzi pool and a number of lounging areas.

What makes Mimi La Sardine a must-see superyacht:
Freshly launched and making her first appearance at a show, the yacht is sure to become hotly in-demand for the summer season.

‘Ramble on Rose’

Fresh from a full-scale refit,  the 60m/196ft superyacht ‘Ramble on Rose’ will be showing off her brand new look at the MYBA Charter Show 2019. Launched by CRN in 2011, the luxury yacht has been in the refit shed with Dutch yard Icon Yachts for almost nine months, and has emerged with a fresh paint job, brand new bridge and all-new glazing.

The yacht is a proven charter platform, with an inviting selection of living areas, including an expansive beach club and sundeck replete with sumptuous seating areas.

What makes RAMBLE ON ROSE a must-see superyacht:
Her refit means she will be in tip-top condition for those looking to take a tour.

MOKA

The 42m/138ft superyacht MOKA has been on the scene for a while, but this is her first time attending the MYBA Charter Show. The Sanlorenzo model is a popular option for luxury yacht charters, thanks to elegant and contemporary apartment-style interiors

Among her stellar facilities, show-goers can admire her oversized infinity pool with contra-jets and expedition-style capacities that make her a go-anywhere explorer yacht capable of circumnavigating the globe in the utmost style, luxury and comfort.

What makes MOKA a must-see superyacht:
Her wide selection of amenities never fail to impress, and this will be her MYBA debut.
