Oceanco superyacht JUBILEE triumphs at ISS Awards at FLIBS 2018

By Rebecca Bradbury   2 November 2018

The 110m/361ft superyacht JUBILEE added to her trophy cabinet earlier this week when she was presented with an accolade at the International Superyacht Society (ISS) Awards for Design and Leadership.

JUBILEE has picked up a number of prestigious prizes since her launch from Oceanco in summer 2017 and she now has an ISS title to her name after winning the best 'power' 65m+’.

The ISS awards were given out during a black-tie gala at the Broward Center for Performing Arts on 31 October and were timed to coincide with the 2018 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

JUBILEE's highlights include cutting-edge exterior lines from Lobanov Design, a luxe Sorgiovanni Design interior replete with marble, silk carpets and crystal, and a tremendous pool deck with a built-in aquarium.

Seven awards were up for grabs in the yacht categories, with the 58m/190ft sailing yacht NGONI from Royal Huisman picking up an impressive two awards: ‘sail 40m+’ and ‘best interior – power or sail’.

Designed by Ed Dubois, NGONI combines both unparalleled luxury and extraordinary performance and boasts an innovative interior from London-based design firm Rick Baker Ltd.

Another sailing yacht to be recognised, this time in the 24m – 40m category, was the 33m/107ft sailing yacht RIBELLE from Vitters. A serious racer, she wows with her sailing performance as well as a copper-clad Remi Tessier interior, cutting-edge design and supreme comfort.

Scooping up the award in the ‘power 40m – 65m’ category, meanwhile, was the 49m/164ft charter yacht ‘Endeavour 2’ from Rossi Navi. Among her top features are globe-trotting capabilities, extensive glazing, ‘East meets West’ interiors and an array of modern leisure facilities.

The team behind Canados' 24m/79ft luxury yacht CHEVERE also had much to celebrate after the yacht came out on top in the 'Power 24m - 40m' category. Part of the 808 Maximus line, she features a unique layout which gives the impression of a much larger yacht.

The final yacht to be recognised was the 40m/132ft motor yacht GENESIA. Triumphing in the refit category, she adds to her silverware collection after winning a World Superyacht Award earlier this year. Italian yard Cantieri Navali Di Chioggia is behind her new look.
