Great news for guests interested in a Spain yacht charter: it has recently been announced that Málaga is to have a superyacht marina, in one of the country's most magical cities. Construction is now underway for IGY Marina Málaga, following the agreement of a construction loan between Ocean Capital Partners and Island Global Yachting.
Construction of the marina will take place during this summer. Featuring all brand new infrastructure and amenities, the marina is expected to be open just in time for 2021's winter season, and will accommodate yachts between 24m to 180m.
This will join Spain's growing number of world-class superyacht marinas, which includes Barcelona's Marina Port Vell, Marbella's Puerto Banús and the jetsetter favourites Port Adriano and Puerto Portals in the Balearics (to name but two).
Guests have a wealth of destinations to choose from in Spain, both on and off the mainland. From the bold and beautiful Barcelona, complete with a fabulous, state-of-the-art superyacht marina, to the much-adored Balearic Islands. Here, you have not one but four glittering isles to drop anchor at: Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Your choice of heavenly anchorages is practically limitless.
