Rossinavi launches 49m ‘Project Vector’ as superyacht EIV

Formerly known as Project Vector, the 49m (160’) superyacht EIV has been launched as part of a private ceremony at Rossinavi’s facilities in Viareggio, Italy.

Hitting the water for the first time on Saturday, EIV is a tri-deck performance yacht built by Italian shipyard Rossinavi with the American market in mind.

The yacht will be heading out on sea trials soon, before being delivered to an American client in the coming months.

EIV will be based primarily in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida, and Rossinavi has ensured that many of her mechanical and technological components adhere to US standards as a result.

“This boat is a step-change for Rossinavi. With the increasing and significant interest the shipyard is receiving from the American market, we are constantly working to find ways to collaborate with American suppliers in the production of entirely tailor-made vessels, says Federico Rossi, Chief Operating Officer of Rossinavi.

“Following on from the success of the first member of the Vector family [motor yacht UTOPIA IV] that was also delivered to an American owner, EIV boasts the same sportive appeal and features of her ‘older sister’ such as the shallow draft which is perfect for the Bahamas.

“Key elements are the swimming pool on the sundeck, the lift and five cabins including the owner’s master suite at bow.”

The yacht’s exterior and interior design come from Team 4 Design, while naval architecture comes courtesy of Arrabo Naval architects. She cuts a distinctive profile that’s been inspired by elements of car design, and she features large portions of glazing which create an elegant silhouette and flood her interiors with light.

The motor yacht accommodates a total of 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master with private deck area.

It is not yet known whether luxury yacht EIV will be available for private yacht charters.
