Superyacht charter ALFA NERO completes refit ahead of return to yacht charter market

The exceptional 266.8ft (81.27m) superyacht charter ALFA NERO has successfully completed a refit and maintenance period at Martinique Shipyard in Fort-de-France, Caribbean, where she has been in dry dock for the past month, ahead of her anticipated return to the global yacht charter market.

Launched in 2007, the Oceanco yacht charter was sold for $40 million by Antigua's Cabinet after being sanctioned by the US following events in February 2022.

Hosting 190 meters of dry dock and 350 meters of berthing for maintenance, the Martinique Shipyard, which opened in January 2024, has worked tirelessly to meet the requirements of the new owner with an extensive list of maintenance tasks being carried out on the motor yacht charter.

Works carried out on superyacht charter ALFA NERO include the removal and polishing of the propellers, and the replacement of the seals on the shaft line. Additional work involved piping maintenance, servicing of the steering gear, hull valves, and the hydraulics of the garage door and starboard gangway.

The shipyard also installed a new water heater, reconditioned the antifouling/anodes, painted the hull, and completed minor deck hardware upgrades.
