Lurssen’s 140m/459ft motor yacht ‘Project Lightning’ has been captured embarking on sea trials.
New footage shows Project Lightning leaving Lurssen’s facilities in Bremen to undertake sea trials in the North Sea.
It comes after the gigayacht left the yard for the first time on Tuesday.
Shrouded in secrecy, little information has been revealed about the yacht since she was launched in July.
Photos indicate that the six-decked motor yacht will have two helipads; one on the foredeck and one on the aft deck.
Project Lightning is expected to be the largest superyacht delivery of 2019.
She follows in the footsteps of two other Lurssen yachts measuring over 100m launched earlier this year; the 136m/446ft motor yacht 'Flying Fox' and the 111m/364ft superyacht TIS.
Both of these megayachts have recently become available for superyacht charters.
Once delivered, Project Lightning will rank in the Top 20 of the World’s Top 100 Superyachts.
