Last week’s Monaco Yacht Show saw a record number of superyachts in the over 70m size range exhibited and this video by Bloomberg introduces three of the largest, two of which are available for charter.
With the largest selection of superyachts in the event’s history on display, the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show was sure to present some of the finest vessels on the global fleet. This year’s line-up was particularly notable for the number of internationally acclaimed new-builds and super-sized motor yachts that encompassed the ultimate in luxury, design and amenities.
In at number three was the 85.1m/279ft Lürssen-built charter yacht SOLANDGE, a fine example of the level of facilities that can be found on board a vessel of her size. From a 16m high sculpture to a fully equipped onboard beauty spa, she provides an environment of absolute privacy and relaxation to charter guests while traversing the world’s waters.
The second largest motor yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show this year was one of the global charter fleet’s best-known superyachts – the magnificent 85.6m/281ft CAKEWALK. Since her launch from Derecktor Shipyards in 2010 she has built a reputation as a superyacht designed to offer the highest levels of luxury vacations, with voluminous living spaces to accommodate everything conceivable amenity.
Finally, the largest motor yacht exhibited was the brand new 92m/300ft EQUANIMITY, launched from Oceanco in 2013. She was one of the most talked about yachts throughout the event and took home the first ever ‘Best in Show’ Monaco Yacht Show Award. Despite her imposing size, her exterior lines have been harmoniously designed by Espen Oeino to create balance while her Andrew Winch styled interior boasts a dedicated hospital, spa, gym, massage room, sauna, steam room, experience shower and a beach club.
With even more berths announced for the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show, next year could see an even bigger display of superyachts of this size. For more information about attending next year’s event contact your preferred yacht charter broker.
