Whale Watch in Tahiti Aboard Sailing Yacht RAPTURE

The 30m/99ft charter yacht RAPTURE, built by Southern Wind in 2007, will be available for incredible whale watching adventures in the far-flung cruising grounds of Tahiti from June to September.

A beautifully designed yacht, RAPTURE delivers an exhilarating sailing performance, while entertaining her guests in the utmost luxury. This summer, she is offering the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover the incredible marine life of the South Pacific on a luxury yacht charter.

Between June and September, humpback whales migrate to the waters of French Polynesia, and are best seen around the islands of Moorea and Tahiti. The whales travel here to breed and give birth, and it is not rare to encounter a mother and her child close to the reef of these two islands.

French Polynesia has been a sanctuary for marine animals since 2002 and, if conditions allow, guests may even be able to swim with the whales and dolphins. Plus, there is a whole host of other underwater creatures and colourful coral reefs to discover on snorkel and dive trips.

RAPTURE’s uncluttered deck space with lounging and dining areas provides an exceptional platform from which to take in the fascinating marine life, as well as the stunning island landscapes of white sand beaches, lapped by crystal blue waters and lined with tropical palm trees.

The elegance of the exterior is replicated throughout the interior of superyacht RAPTURE thanks to Nauta Design. Luxuriously finished woods, high quality furnishings and sumptuous fabrics create a timeless and comfortable feel, and panoramic windows ensure a constant connection with the sea.

In the main salon, watch a movie on the 43-inch TV, be served a refreshing cocktail at the bar, unwind on the U-shaped settee and dine with loved ones around the eight-seater table. Steps lead down to the master office forward, with a large desk for those who need to catch up on business.

Stretching across the full beam of the sailing yacht forward is a master suite, with skylights, and a bath tub and shower in the en-suite bathroom. A VIP suite is located to port of the office, and two twin cabins are located to port and starboard aft.

Other highlights include state-of-the art entertainment systems and ample water toys, such as water skis, a wakeboard and paddleboard, diving and snorkelling gear and fishing equipment. She has also competed in several notable regattas, including the Loro Piana Regatta.
