Ideal for Winter Season
Island hopping is one of the best ways to explore an unknown region. With no specific day to day routine, you’ll be able to come and go as you please, spending longer at the islands which capture your imagination. The Philippines have some stunning locations for you to visit, which offer you a real taste of life here and some scenery that comes second to none. Meeting up with your chosen charter yacht at Manila, a different island each day awaits.
- Day 1
Manila
Immerse yourself in the capital's cultural delights
Depending on how eager you are to explore, the destination of Manila can be investigated before or after your charter vacation. The mixture of Spanish colonial and modern architecture gives Manila a unique and identifiable backdrop which hosts many activities which will fill a holiday by itself.
Shopping is a must when in Manila, with one of the world's largest shopping malls to explore. Featuring all your favorite brands plus more local names, you will find plenty of treats and more to take home for your family and friends. After the mall, meander around the streets of the city to find the small local businesses who offer delightful cuisine and handmade trinkets.
If animals and sea creatures are your thing, a visit to the Manila Ocean Park is a must. With live shows and a variety of different creatures you can get up close to some truly magnificent creatures.
For some real culture and historical subsequence, make your way towards the center of the city to Intramuros. Steeped in history, the walled city guards the San Augustin church and protects the 16th century constructions. Even more incredible sights await you as you take the short journey to Fort Santiago, a stunning citadel.
- Day 2
Puerto Princesa
Witness the island's intriguing cavernous river
A truly idyllic destination, Puerto Princesa is a popular coastal city which welcomes many discerning visitors throughout the year. Used largely as a starting point for boat tours, there are many amenities to ensure your every desire is met at this location.
Your charter yacht will anchor down in the bay which is frequented by friendly dolphins, turtles and rays. Taking a tender to the shore you can watch out for these fun creatures as you head to the beach or to one of the largest attractions in the area.
The underground river is a spectacular sight that cannot be replicated anywhere. Using your tender to explore, cruise along the river as you are surrounded by staggering rock formations and hanging stalactites. One of nature's amazing achievements, this trip should be high on your list of places to see when in the area.
- Day 3
Sabang
Adrenaline-fuelled adventures await
A stone's throw away from Puerto Princesa, Sabang has some enticing experiences to offer.
In addition to its close proximity to the same underground river, meaning you can visit again if you wish, you have the chance to test your adrenaline levels on a scenic zip line. Standing at 150 meters above the sea level this adrenaline pumping activity soars you over 800 meters of incredible Philippine landscape and the bay as well.
Aside from the pretty sandy beach in the bay another excursion awaits you at the Sabang Mangrove Forest. Join up with a local tour group to gain the most out of this experience and explore the century old mangroves by paddle boat. Surrounded by towering vegetation and forestry there are many natural wonders to see as well as many exotic species of wildlife.
- Day 4
Port Barton
Take to the crystal clear waters
Away from the hundreds of tourists, Port Barton offers many water sports activities which also feature in some of the more urban areas. Not having the tourists around you means you can enjoy the ambience of this quiet, hidden away town but still have all the adventures.
Kayaking is one of the most popular activities here as well as indulging in a lazy afternoon on the quiet but sublime beach. While at Port Barton you can also make the most of the quiet waters by taking a dive or two. The local dive center offers information on great locations to see which mainly revolve around quaint coral displays and impressive local marine life.
Before leaving Port Barton, take the chance to dine at one of the restaurants to enjoy some Philippine cuisine and watch the stars come out over the bay.
- Day 5
El Nido
Continue with the luscious beaches and diving opportunities
El Nido is an activity packed area which continually attracts tourists from across the globe. Marking the entrance to the Bacuit archipelago, this gateway town features many local businesses which cater to the needs of their many visitors and offer great excursions to make your trip here one to remember.
If you enjoyed the zip line at Sabang, you'll be pleased to hear there is another one at El Nido. Taking you from a high peak, this zip line takes you down over the small town and bay over to a small island in the center of the bay.
After enjoying the views from the zip line your next main attraction is underneath the water's surface. A long tunnel leads to a stunning underwater cavern filled with local marine life. Plus, if you have time, the Cathedral Cave is also in the vicinity. This is a special dive into an underwater cave which lights up at certain times of the day. There is space for surfacing but this dive is perhaps more suitable for slightly more experienced divers.
- Day 6
Sibaltán
Relax and soak up the culture
A quiet destination with a beautiful long beach, Sibaltán is a small resort location which maintains a quaint historical nature.
On the coast you will find a boat building set up including a boat in the waters adjacent to the decking. Sat in place as a form of museum, the locals leave these pieces intact to commemorate their past and keep their history in their daily society.
The very long stretch of beach here is ideal for beachcombing and relaxing, making Sibaltan ideal for relaxing and resting up. Head into the cool waters around the beach to keep fresh in the warm heat before changing for the evening and strolling around the resorts. Try some high quality food and an impressive drinks list before enjoying live music and dancing till the early hours.
- Day 7
Pical
Bask in glorious serenity on your final day
Located on Iloc Island, the quiet destination of Pical also offers an impressive stretch of sandy beaches for romantic strolls, beachcombing and sunbathing.
Dotted along the beach are some small local eateries who provide nothing but warm company and delicious freshly prepared cuisine. After enjoying the friendly hospitality of the locals, return to your charter yacht to equip your snorkeling gear. Skim across the clear aquamarine surface to see all the sea life below and keep your eyes open for some impressive coral displays.
If you have more time, get settled in a comfy position on your deck to try your hand at fishing. As the sun comes down, cook up your fresh catch and toast your island-hopping tour around the Philippines.
