- Day 1
Broome
Anchoring down at the popular tourist location of Broome you begin your charter experience in a prime location to stock up on supplies and get a great first impression of the Kimberleys.
Dotted with essential amenities and high-quality resorts, Broome has everything you could possibly need to start your yacht charter vacation in luxury and style. Step ashore into the town to buy everything you need for your trip. Throughout your charter, there may be times when you cannot stock up on water supplies so now is a good time to stock up and mingle with the friendly locals.
Broome is particularly popular for its stunning 22-kilometre expanse of white sandy beaches. Sink your toes into the super-soft sand before taking a dip into the clear waters to greet the local marine life. Back on the sand, you can try an unusual activity by riding a camel across the beach. Finish off the day with a cocktail or two on the deck of your charter before lifting the anchor and moving around the bend to Derby, your next port of call.
- Day 2
Derby/Windjana Gorge
After picking up any last-minute essentials in the attractive town of Derby, hop on board a jeep or range rover to see your first real taste of the real Kimberley.
Dashing past some rugged terrain you will see the Windjana Gorge, one of the finest natural formations to be found throughout Australia. Located 355 kilometers east of Broome, the impressive 100-meter-high walls will tower above you, transporting you to a secluded area of peace and isolation. There are plenty of walks available through the 3.5-kilometer gorge but it is highly advised to stay close to a guide as there are crocodiles in the area.
Walking through the bush, take the time to look all around you as you won't want to miss anything. As well as the crocs and the woodland wildlife, there are various species of plant life to observe and you can also see some fossilized marine creatures in the walls of the gorge. On your way back to your vessel, charter guests can make another stop at the Bell Gorge to see some beautiful waterfalls.

Mitchell Falls
Traveling further north along the western coast of the Kimberleys, your next port of call is Mitchell Falls.
Undoubtedly one of the most photographed attractions of Australia, alongside the Bungle Bungle range and Sydney opera house, the Mitchell Falls are a spectacular sight not to be missed when visiting the area. Seeing Mitchell Falls can be a long and hard trip but the tiring hike is worth it. Whether you opt for a scenic flight tour of the area or brave the strenuous hike, the staggering 4-tier waterfall will take your breath away.
Surrounded by patches of rainforest and sandstone formations, the accompanying Mitchell Plateau has a beauty of its own which brings you closer to the true outback of Australia. Maintaining high vigilance throughout your trek you can see saltwater crocodiles and many brave species of mammals and native birds.
- Day 4
El Questro
Traveling around the tip of Cape Londonderry, steer your cruise into the Cambridge Gulf and anchor down in the naturally sheltered harbor and take your tender ashore as there are many opportunities at your feet and a lot of traveling.
To make the most out of your trip join the Gibb River Road and take the long journey to the Purnululu National Park. This 350 million-year-old site is world heritage listed, immediately making it a high priority on your list of places to see in the Kimberleys. The familiar sight of the beehive-like stripes across the red rocks form the stunning Bungle Bungle range, which no photograph can do justice.
Inspect the range from every angle to see all its majesty before exploring the beautiful surrounding area, including Lake Argyle. Almost as impressive as the rock formations, the tides here can reach higher than the buildings located in the Buccaneer Archipelago to the west. Set up camp with your guide for the night or make a return trip to your charter to prepare for your last day of exploring the Kimberley.

Kununurra
Get up bright and early to choose the best vantage point in order to watch the sunrise. As the sunlight glistens over the many lakes in the immediate area you will see just why the Kimberleys dominate the Australian scenic highlights.
Wander along the ancient ridges and ranges to get idyllic panoramic views of Kununurra while scouring the terrain for rare pink diamonds. When the search for shiny stones ends make a final must-see stop at the Ord River. As part of the most impressive river system in Australia, the bountiful amounts of wildlife and flora are sensational along this stretch of river and you can even join a cruise back to Lake Argyle and see the Ord Top Dam.
