Spotlight On ETERNITY

Her arresting sleek exterior design and naval architecture are courtesy of Codecasa, while her original interior scheme was created by architects Franco and Anna Maria Della Role.

Conceived to project “a strong personality, capable of arousing emotions”, the five-deck displacement yacht was designed from the outset to stand out from the crowd. With sporty lines contrasting beautifully with her chic interiors, yacht ETERNITY has proved herself as a timeless masterpiece and feat of engineering and skill. 

I asked myself to give life to a particular boat, with a strong personality, capable of arousing emotions in those who saw it.

In collaboration with the owner, the design brief was clear: simple, linear and extremely modern. This was achieved across the board, and the result is a spacious and luxurious yacht dedicated to relaxation in the utmost comfort.

Extensive refit

In 2018, motor yacht ETERNITY underwent an extensive 26-week refit at Florida’s Rybovich yard, to ensure she remains at the pinnacle of luxury yacht design. 

This encompassed a full repaint of her hull and superstructure and new caulking for her teak decking, as well as an overhaul of all technical elements, including her main engines and generators, cranes and AVIT upgrades of all her entertainment and navigation systems. 

As part of the refit, she also received a full interior redesign, courtesy of Chicago-based architect Suzanne Lovell Inc., where the yacht’s previous dark interior palette was transformed into a lighter, brighter scheme.

Described as a “dramatic change”, some of the new standout features include a custom fabricated main saloon bar, beautifully refurbished accommodation and stunning Bahmanian artwork that adds splashes of color to the overall neutral arrangement. 

The yacht has since enjoyed a further refresh in 2022, and is now in mint condition to welcome charter guests on board for a memorable luxury yacht charter.

Stunning contemporary interiors

Stepping aboard, you are at once transported into a world of elegance and luxury. Geometric designs and sumptuous furnishings create a welcoming ambience, enhanced by her wide windows and full-height glass doors that bathe the whole area in natural light. Meanwhile, discreet recessed lighting creates a warm and relaxed vibe during the evenings. 

Playful touches of color from her beautiful artwork, courtesy of local Bahamian artist John Cox, add a bright and casual elegance to the overall arrangement. Offering a unique approach, the artwork is changed seasonally to ensure repeat charter guests can enjoy an original curated visual experience each time they visit the yacht.

A sit-up bar on her port side and huge array of seating on offer ensures this area forms the main social hub for guests to relax and be entertained, while enjoying far-reaching turquoise-coloured views across the warm Caribbean waters.

This area leads into the central foyer, with a circular staircase creating an arresting conduit between levels, with an elevator servicing all five decks offering a convenient alternative. 

Another communal space can be found on her upper deck, providing the perfect haven for catching a quiet moment during the day or gathering for some pre-dinner cocktails. 

This upper deck encompasses a large formal dining table, with a further alfresco dining option available on her aft deck, offering guests the choice of dining inside or out, with the added bonus of being able to change their minds at a moment’s notice should the weather turn.

Alfresco socialising

Wide deck spaces encircle this entire level, leading to one of the yacht’s defining jewels; a vast current-resistant exercise pool with additional Jacuzzi function.

This area is adorned by parasols, offering respite from the midday sun, and adjacent plush seating, with a large semi-circular bank of sunpads adjoining the pool up forward. This promises to be a prominent alfresco hub for socializing and relaxing while on charter.

Meanwhile, for those looking for a sun-kissed retreat, head to her sundeck, where you’ll find two huge sunbed chairs with retractable awnings, allowing you to dictate the level of sun and shade throughout the day. Additional lounging areas with personalized towel baskets run along the port side for those looking to top up tans.

This spacious deck also boasts a convenient fully-stocked bar, where guests can sit and enjoy day-long refreshments. An integrated sound system lends a party vibe, adding to the overall convivial atmosphere.

Charter guests can also access the yacht’s well-equipped gymnasium on the sundeck, including a Peloton bike and various exercise equipment, perfect for those looking to maintain fitness regimes while on board. 

Meanwhile, her wide deck spaces on this level are ideal for early morning workouts and yoga sessions, led by a trained and experienced crew member.

Highly versatile accommodation

Back inside on her main deck, access to her spacious on-deck master can be found forward of the guest foyer, encompassing a generous master stateroom replete with a vanity station, large superking bed and walk-in-wardrobe. The master also enjoys a dedicated private study area, as well as a generous marble-clad his and hers en suite complete with a large tub, perfect for soaking in after a long day's excursion ashore.

The master's standout feature is a fold-down balcony, offering guests beautiful over-water views of the Bahamas’ clear turquoise seas, where charterers can enjoy a morning coffee or intimate meals à deux. 

This area can also be converted into a private massage station, where one of the yacht’s crew members can administer indulgent beauty treatments to the gentle sounds of water lapping at her hull.

Conveniently accessed via her elevator, the remainder of her accommodation can be found on her lower deck level. These comprise four generous double cabins and two twin cabins each with Pullman bunks, offering a high degree of versatility for any number of charter party configurations.

Each beautifully appointed cabin benefits from a marble en suite, as well as state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, that run throughout the entire yacht, including full WiFi coverage, i-docks, satellite TV and video-on-demand. 

Toys and accessories

Of course, no yacht would be complete without a locker full of the latest toys, and motor yacht ETERNITY is certainly no slouch in that department.

Accessed via her beach club, her water toy inventory is impressive, and includes Seabobs, Lift e-hydrofoil, top deck to waterline inflatable slide, lagoon pool, climbing wall, Wave Runners, raft of towables and snorkeling gear, to name but a few of the toys on offer. 

She can also be chartered in tandem with a 53-foot chase boat and 50-foot sports fisher, creating opportunities for memorable day-long excursions and high-octane sports fishing junkets away from the mothership.
