On-Board O'MEGA

At an impressive 83 metres, motor yacht O’MEGA is among a handful of superyachts allowed to cruise with more than 12 guests. Built to commercial specifications and SOLAS certified, she is capable of cruising with up to 30 guests and includes 14 cabins, including a master suite, five VIP suites, four double cabins and five twin cabins.

Originally built in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, she was converted into a superyacht between 2002 and 2003 at the Greek Lamda Shipyard in Elefsina.

The radical rebuild included remodelling her bow and superstructure, and completely removing the main deck level and replacing it with a new aluminium alloy one in order to accommodate the high quality staterooms, main salon and other guest living areas.

Continually maintained and kept up-to-date once becoming a superyacht, she has since undergone major refits in 2011 and 2015, with each series of upgrades led by Italian design house Studio Vafiadis. Plus, once navy blue, her hull is now a crisp white to match that of her superstructure.

The results represent the highest possible standards of yachting and a superyacht meticulously renovated with charter vacations in mind. The huge volume of O’MEGA’s interior and exterior has been combined with modern amenities and classically designed features, while still taking advantage of her outstanding seakeeping performance, even in heavy seas.

With such high volume, O’MEGA is able to offer vast outdoor recreational areas, exhibited in a sleek, modern style and equipped with an abundance of amenities. This is certainly the case for her spacious main deck aft, where a covered seating and conversation area serves multiple purposes.

As a whole, the main deck features a collection of areas dedicated to both relaxation and entertainment. Each flows seamlessly to the next, with the main salon aft offering a sumptuous and versatile space in which guests can get-together, no matter what the occassion is. 

Rich mahogany wall panels contrast with the pale-coloured upholstery of the sofas and matching carpets for a timeless elegance. An expanse of windows floods the space with natural light and ensures guests are kept in constant connection with their cruising grounds.

Forward of the salon is a formal dining area, which offers an atmosphere reminiscent of a fine dining restaurant. This is in keeping with the motor yacht’s reputation for serving world-class cuisine prepared by three top chefs in the ultra-modern galley.

Due to the impressive volume of the interior, this section of the superyacht never risks becoming crowded and is as aesthetically impressive as the communal areas  which surround it.

Also on the main deck is a spa and massage room. Added to the motor yacht in 2015, the facilities offers a relaxing and rejuvenating escape, with a resident beauty therapist on hand.

The aft section of the upper deck is home to another lounge. More intimate than the main salon below, the space is ideal for casual entertainment, with cosy groupings of chairs and sofas set around coffee and card tables.

However, the main feature of the salon is an impressive ‘piano bar’ which, as the name suggests, comes complete with a baby grand piano - a luxury that only a yacht of this size can truly do justice.

White upholstery combines with handsome wooden wall panels and cabinetry to create a light, airy and elegant atmosphere in which to spend your time on board.

Located on the upper deck forward, O’MEGA’s full-beam master suite offers its own contained sense of private luxury, emphasised by a semi-circle of forward-facing windows overlooking the bow.

A white padded headboard and pale blue linen and curtains soften the rich woodwork of the wall panels and cabinetry, while beautiful oil paintings and a selection of furnishings show the utmost attention to detail from the designers.

Overall, the principal charterer is treated to a peaceful and serene retreat, with an opulent en-suite bathroom adorned with yellow and white onyx. Features include his and hers sinks, a bath tub, head and shower.

As well as being home to the master suite, the forward section of the upper deck also features four VIP staterooms all with en-suite facilities. There is also an executive suite on the bridge deck, while the remainder of the staterooms span off a central corridor on the main deck forward.

The positioning of the accommodation ensures that none of the sleeping areas are on the lower deck. This means all guests on a private charter vacation are treated to fantastic views through large windows and can enjoy natural light throughout their cruise. 

What's more, all staterooms continue the theme of magnificence, with the latest entertainment systems, flat screen televisions, sound systems and WiFi, as well as en-suites finished with the finest white and onyx.

In keeping with her sophisticated, well-balanced design and first-class facilities, O’MEGA boasts a cinema room on the lower deck with eight sumptuous leather armchairs and a 65-inch screen for movie nights at sea.

Movies can also be watched on a large TV screen in a room on the bridge deck, which usually acts as a place to entertain the children while on charter vacations. Yet, with a mirrored wall and weights located here too, the space also serves as somewhere to work out.

The equipment can, however, be moved up to the sundeck on request. This allows yacht-goers to keep up their exercise regimes while enjoying the views and glorious weather of their cruising grounds. 

Opportunities for both relaxation and entertainment continue onto the upper deck. Two equally sized dining tables are centrally placed to take full advantage of the breath-taking views and can be joined together to form one large alfresco dining table.

Placed along the aft rail are three smaller tables with sofas and movable chairs. This offers guests a choice of areas in which to take some time out by themselves, or catch up with friends over coffee, cocktails or dinner,

For a more private space when in port, the bridge deck aft offers the perfect seclusion. The space here has also been known to be an ideal area for guests enjoying a Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter.

Long lunches and drinks can be enjoyed here before heading into the forward section, where an array of sun loungers and a Jacuzzi invite you to unwind in the glorious sunshine.

All the furniture is modular, meaning it can be moved to make way for hosting large parties. Lights are embedded into the ceiling under the radar arch, creating the perfect disco atmosphere, and DJ equipment can be setup here for the ultimate event charter to impress friends, family, employees and clients. 

Back on the main deck aft, stairs lead down on both the starboard and port side to O'MEGA's large swim platform. Here, she features an extendable swim platform, which is ideal for charter guests looking to make the most of the on-board water toys or to simply take a refreshing dip in the ocean.

Her armada of superyacht toys are conveniently concealed by the lazarette, which is also set up to carry scuba diving gear, an activity that can be pre-arranged to ensure a qualified instructor is on board.
