Delivered in 2009, the award-winning 60m (197ft) superyacht O’EVA made her charter debut at the Mediterranean Yacht Show 2023, where she wowed brokers and other industry professionals with her stunning new makeover.
YachtCharterFleet had the pleasure of a personal tour on board while at the show, where we were able to witness her transformation for ourselves.
Launched in 2009 as Cloud 9 by the French yard CMN Yachts, the yacht is custom-made for exploration, with an ice-class hull, array of winter garden features and a 5,000 nautical mile range.
Originally penned by London-based studio Winch Design, superyacht O’EVA underwent a six-month refit at Golden Yachts in Greece, where a raft of modifications was made to both her exterior and interior spaces.
One of the most prominent changes is her hull color, previously blue like that of her sistership SLIPSTREAM, she now sports a Whisper Grey hull and white superstructure, giving her an instant fresh look befitting a superyacht of this caliber.
Stepping on board you are greeted by an expansive salon, which has been revamped by the Italian designers Massari Studio, in collaboration with Dimitra Agapitou – the same creative pairing that were responsible for Golden Yachts’ latest 88-meter flagship Project X.
For her redesign, one of the main aims of the project was to tone down the existing gray plaster features, with her interior spaces now showcasing a lighter, brighter scheme, where light tones and dark contrasts add a thoroughly modern slant.
In her main salon, deep terracotta tones have been harnessed to bring out warmth, while sumptuous furnishings, contemporary artwork and polished finishes create an overall luxurious ambience.
This convivial social space is illuminated in natural light courtesy of wide flanking windows, with comfortable loveseats adorning the perimeter, perfect for guests wanting to chill out and soak up stunning views of her surroundings. At night, cozy recessed lighting in her bookshelves, positioned either side of a large screen, offer a warm and welcoming vibe.
Her main salon leads into a stunning atrium, featuring an avant-garde metal work sculpture of a woman pointing heavenwards, with floor lights encircling the centerpiece. This central foyer plays host to a spiral staircase, leading to her guest accommodation and main social spaces on her upper decks.
Heading upstairs, you’ll find a vast upper deck salon. Here, cream and blue accents add a nautical flair, with large windows presenting guests with uninterrupted views over the water. Meanwhile an array of comfortable seating ushers in an inviting and congenial ambience, ideal for relaxation and entertaining.
There is also a convenient stewardess pantry serving this level, ensuring an unwavering level of personal service at all times.
Further aft, you’ll find a glass enclosed dining area, featuring a bespoke circular dining table, with laterally disappearing glass doors seamlessly blurring the lines between her indoor and outdoor spaces.
Back on the main deck, heading through her central foyer is her master stateroom. This full beam cabin, in an elegant scheme of light furnishings and dark woods, offers principal guests with a beautiful retreat in which to relax. Spanning half a deck and completely remodeled in her recent refit, the suite features a dedicated study and large cabin with a walk-in-wardrobe and his and hers ensuite.
This area also plays host to a unique split-level arrangement leading up to an observation room with 180-degree views. This area includes a comfortable sofa that can be moved to make way for a hidden pull-down double bed, ideal for principals traveling with children or staff.
There is a further VIP suite located amidships on her bridge deck, positioned to offer complete privacy with an outdoor terrace that can be cordoned off to other guests, giving lucky guests staying in this cabin their own private sanctuary.
On the same level, her gym can also be converted into an extra cabin, presenting convenient accommodation options for supernumeraries, such as dive staff, local guides or security detail.
The remainder of her cabins are located on her lower deck, comprising three doubles and one convertible twin cabin.
Overall, her unique cabin configuration across three decks presents guests with a high degree of versatility for any number of yacht charters.
Outdoor living has been at the forefront of the her overall design, offering her guests ample exterior spaces for relaxing and entertainment; whether you want to enjoy an aperitivo on her main deck, have dinner on the bridge deck, or simply soak up the rays on her sundeck, motor yacht O’EVA can provide you with everything.
Her crowning sundeck is the main social hub for lazy days at anchor, offering a wealth of relaxing areas, including a stunning elevated Jacuzzi bordered by plush sunpads. This spa pool is ideally positioned to offer guests glorious 360-degree views. A sleek wet bar is also available on this deck, which is sure to enliven the atmosphere and add a level of convenience during the day.
Opportunities to soak up the sun continue further forward on two wide sunbeds, angled to enjoy far-reaching views across the bow. The entire area is encircled by a glass perimeter, offering protection from the elements without detracting from the views.
Guests have an additional dining option here as well, which offers beautiful views in a more informal setting, and can be closed off to the elements with sliding glass panels if necessary, meaning guests can enjoy leisurely alfresco meals without worrying about the weather.
This area also encompasses a day head, small spa room and barbeque. While further aft there is a comfortable alfresco seating area, perfect for cocktails and canapés.
In terms of water toys, O’EVA will not disappoint. She is equipped with a wide variety of the latest toys and accessories to ensure her guests can make the most out of the sun and sea during their yacht charter. These include Seadoos, Seabobs and an inflatable water park and slide, as well as an array of fun towables.
With her tailored interiors, never-ending list of on-board features and dedicated and friendly crew, O’EVA is the charter yacht of choice for guests looking to experience a superyacht vacation that goes beyond expectations.
