Returning to the Bay of Cannes, the annual Cannes Yachting Festival returns with a wide array of motor yachts and some of the hottest luxury charter yachts on the market.
Kickstarting the new yachting season each September, Cannes comes alive with both Vieux Port and Port Canto playing their roles in one of the biggest European yachting events of the year.
Catering to many niches across the maritime industry, visitors to the Cannes Yachting Festival can expect to see a wide range of luxury yacht charters, plus a curated collection of exhibitors along the docks with merchandise, gadgets, and a host of services to complete the ultimate yachting lifestyle package.
Featuring dedicated zones throughout Vieux Port and Port Canto, those visiting the show will have close encounters and guided tours around the attending fleet of yachts, plus the chance to endure sea trials or book South of France yacht charters there and then.
With over 600 boats and motor yacht charters attending, plus many models making their global or European debut at the show, Cannes has long been known as a must-see yachting event in France, hosting many of the biggest names in the industry such as Benetti, Azimut, Sunseeker and Princess.
Luxury yacht rentals that have made their debut at Cannes in recent years include the 131.3ft (40m) Heesen charter yacht BRAZIL in 2023, and 116.6ft (35.5m) yacht rental LAFAYETTE in 2024.
In addition to the selection of crewed yacht charters around the pontoons, the Cannes Yachting Festival annually welcomes back many popular attractions such as the Concours d'Elegance with vintage yachts on parade along the Bay of Cannes.
Vieux Port is the main hub of activity, with the Luxury Gallery offering visitors premium shopping opportunities, plus many smaller exhibits primed to educate, inform, and offer taster sessions of the latest watersports and indulgent extras.
Hosting most of the exhibiting France yacht charters, Vieux Port is situated adjacent to the Palais des Festivals, which marks the main entrance to the show and displays further retail vendors with the latest equipment, services, and associated merchandise.
Along la Croisette at Port Canto, visitors can get up to speed with the latest watersports yacht charter gear in the Tenders and Toys exhibit, view the number one fleet in the world for large sailing yachts, and explore a marina dedicated to boats under 39.37ft (12m).
The 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival is scheduled to run from 9 - 14 September. Opening times for the event are yet to be announced.
One of the most notable stops for many Mediterranean yacht charters, Cannes is a destination that never disappoints and is the perfect location for both family and corporate charters.
