Powered by 4 x diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 16-cylinder 2,600hp engines running at 2450rpm, she comfortably cruises at 26 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 31 knots with a range of up to 2,100 nautical miles at 10 knots. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) classification society rules.
