Spectacular reefs are sprinkled throughout the Indian Ocean and a large amount can be found in the notoriously beautiful Maldives. Chartering from island to island you will encounter many uninhabited isles which are teeming with life around their coasts, all ready for you to explore. Starting off at the capital of Male your luxury charter yacht and your dedicated crew will take you to some of the best diving spots in the Maldives so you can see some incredible marine life up close. With fish, rays and sharkd being just some of the creatures you will see, there is plenty to look forward to as you descend into the pretty waters of the Indian Ocean.
- Day 1
Male
Touch down at one of the most visually pleasing airports you’ve ever seen as you arrive at the Maldive capital of Male.
Meet up with your luxury charter yacht and drop off your belongings before heading back into Male for an hour or two. Take a tour of the town, drop into some of the family run businesses for some unique gifts then top off your short visit with some authentic cuisine in one of the restaurants facing the open waters of the Indian Ocean.
Rejoining your luxury charter yacht and your crew, raise anchor and charter across to your first destination of your tour, Felidhe. At only an hour away from Male there’s enough time for a glass of something fizzy before the anchor drops. Throughout the afternoon there will be plenty of time to enjoy the luscious white sandy beaches and cool off in the crisp waters with a couple of swims.
Your first supper of the Maldive tour can be enjoyed on the decking of your chosen vessel with candles and an unspoilt display of stars above your head.
- Day 2
Vakarufahli Beru Thila
The first full day of your tour of the Maldives will take you to a spectacular dive site which will really set the tone for the rest of your trip.
The Vakarufahli Beru Thila is an impressive way to start a week in the Maldives with everything you could possibly want from a dive in paradise. Suitable for all levels of experience, you can expect to dive between 12 and 40 metres to see a beautiful coral reef and thousands of habitant fish. In addition to the vibrantly coloured fish who frequent the coral reef, you can also be lucky to see reef sharks, stingrays and eagle rays. If you are very lucky there may also be an encounter with a sea turtle or two.
Dry off on the decking of your luxury charter yacht as your crew cruise across to another idyllic dive site. Known as one of the best dives in the area, the dive site of Kudarah Thila is smaller than some other sites but it doesn’t waiver in the quality of dive you can experience. The stunning scenery is home to a large variety of marine fish as well as maoir wrasse, grey reef sharks and more turtles.
If you still have energy after a day of diving, take one more trip into the waters in the evening for a calm and soothing look at the underwater world before a delicious supper on your luxury charter yacht.
- Day 3
Maamigili Beru
Raising anchor after a continental breakfast, your crew will charter across the waters to Maamigili Beru.
If there was a day to take more than one dive at the same location this would be it. With diving opportunities ranging from 10 to 30 metres you can have a different experience each time you enter the water. Starting off at the top you can see some beautiful species of marine fish and the tips of beautifully coloured hard corals.
Moving further down into the depths of the dive at Maamigili Beru there are many more species of underwater creatures to meet including moray eels, nudibranch and eagle rays. As well as all these different creatures hiding among the corals there are some even more impressive visitors to this dive site which makes it even more memorable. Mobula mantas and whale sharks are frequent visitors here so when you take a dive make sure you don’t forget your underwater camera for some unbelievable shots.
Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the quiet, soft sandy beaches or ask your crew to take you to a remote sandbar for an incredible beach barbeque.
- Day 4
Rasdhoo
Moving on to your next port of call, day 4 of your luxury charter yacht tour of the Maldives will take you to the Rasdhoo Atoll.
Located in the North Ari Atoll this diving location is fairly popular, for reasons which will become clear when you arrive. The incredible beauty surrounding you is just the tip of the iceberg as most of the beauty is found underneath the waves.
A vast spread of coral reef will introduce you to a range of hard and soft corals which provide a stunning canvas for underwater photos. Merging in with the vibrant corals are thousands of marine fish including clown fish, parrotfish and morays. Venturing further around the reef you may also find some eagle rays and sea turtles.
After taking a break on board the decking of your luxury charter yacht, head back out to the reef on a tender to get a look from a different angle. Take your time on the tender and enjoy a glass of champagne as you drift along the gentle waves above the thousands of marine creatures below the tender.
- Day 5
Bandos
Today you can have a break from diving to enjoy the true beauty of the Maldive islands.
The island of Bandos features a spread of lush green vegetation accompanied by palm trees sprinled throughout the island. Start off the day with some quiet time on the beach as you soak up the warm sun and enjoy a beach picnic for brunch. Try a spot of beachcombing to find some washed up gems and shells then pop on some walking shoes to explore the island.
Wander through the vegetation to get a whole different look at the island. Gaze around at the ground and up in the trees to see some exotic wildlife and native flora and fauna. Take some beautiful green photos and head back towards your luxury charter yacht for an afternoon of fun. Bring out the water sports toys to make the most of the expanse of water around the coast. Try windsurfing, kiteboarding or something more adrenaline pumping like jet skis.
Finish off the day with some colourful cocktails and an authentic Maldive style supper.
- Day 6
Meerufenfushi
On your last full day in the Maldives you have the freedom of the day to spend as you wish.
Meerufenfushi is a stunning lagoon located in the North Male Atoll which is certainly an incredible way to end a week in paradise. With kilometres of deserted beaches there are endless opportunities to spend a day in complete peace and serenity.
Enjoy a few hours on the beach topping up your tan, beachcombing and indulging in a light picnic before turning your attention to your water toys. Investigate the lagoon with a touch of snorkelling or take a faster look as you fly around on a jet ski. The lagoon is also a great place to bob along on a paddle boat with a glass of champagne or reach for the skies with kite boarding.
Top off the day with a beach barbeque, looking over the last sunset of your time in the Maldives.
- Day 7
Male
Setting off nice and early from Meerufenfushi there’s one last chance to take a dive into the crisp waters of the Indian Ocean.
On arrival at Male take a walk around the town to pick up any last minute gifts to take home as you make your way towards the airport.
