Spot 'Nemo' in the Vast of the Indian Ocean

Of the 2,000 species of fish found in the waters of the Maldives, the anemone fish became instantly associable with the main character 'Nemo' in "Finding Nemo" in 2003. Clownfish live alongside an array of starfish, octopi and crab species in the reef shelves of the Indian Ocean.

Whether as small as 10cm or as large as 18cm, the clownfish of the Maldives are striking in colour, with each one of the 30 species coloured yellow, orange or a reddish or blackish colour striped with distinctive white bars or patches. Found in warmer waters, they can be found at the bottom of the sea in sheltered reefs or shallow lagoons when scuba diving in the Maldives.
