101M Feadship Superyacht MOONRISE unveiled in Makkum ahead of sea trials

By Katie Scott   17 March 2025

Feadship has once again raised the bar in superyacht innovation with the unveiling of the 331.4ft (101m) superyacht MOONRISE at its Makkum facility in preparation for impending sea trials and final outfitting stages.

As an evolution of the 2020-built 327.11ft (99.95m) superyacht MOONRISE, the new launch is not currently on the fleet of motor yachts for charter, but her graceful exterior lines sculpted by Studio De Voogt, and distinguishable grey and snow-white paint scheme, will certainly see her standing out in marinas throughout the Mediterranean.

A major standout of motor yacht MOONRISE, formerly known as Project 1013, is Feadship’s decision to completely eliminate the conventional domes typically found on superyachts. The previous MOONRISE superyacht features five domes housing VSAT and TVRO antennas, but the new model integrates Starlink satellite receivers seamlessly into the yacht’s superstructure.

This move not only improves communication and streaming capabilities but also delivers an ultra-clean, streamlined profile—a first for Feadship and a game-changer for modern yacht design.

Giving her plenty of charter yacht potential, superyacht MOONRISE features a spacious sun deck with a dedicated massage area, gym, and hairdressing salon, along with large exterior decks and an expansive swim platform.

Although many details are still shrouded in mystery, an exclusive owner’s deck will be a key feature onboard, ensuring privacy for the owner, plus a private cinema on the bridge deck is set to provide top-tier entertainment during indulgent cruises through the Med or Caribbean.

Meticulously engineered for supreme comfort at sea, superyacht MOONRISE has been designed with noise reduction as a key focus, with innovative propeller designs minimizing both underwater and interior sound levels. In a world-first, Feadship has also introduced a fully resilient-mounted anchor winch foundation with optimized chain routing, significantly reducing noise and vibrations while at anchor.

Now entering her final outfitting phase before heading out for sea trials, superyacht MOONRISE is set to make a statement upon delivery as she heads straight into the YB100 ranks, currently at number 64, as one of the world's biggest yachts, surrounded in the listings by other renowned yachts like 318.11ft (97.2m) luxury yacht charter CARINTHIA VII who is currently ranking at number 68, and 341ft (104m) superyacht QUANTUM BLUE who sits at number 62 in the rankings.

It is currently unknown whether superyacht MOONRISE will join the fleet of Feadship yachts for charter, however, if you are interested in experiencing a yacht of a similar caliber, speak to your preferred yacht charter broker today for the latest offers, availability, and details on yacht rental costs.
