Fourth Amels 60 hull hits the water

Representing the launch of the fourth hull in their popular Amels 60 series since its introduction in 2021, Damen Yachting confirmed the latest 60-meter superyacht splashed from their Vlissingen facilities in the Netherlands last week.

Showcasing world-class designer Espen Øino’s trademark profile in collaboration with Damen Yachting, her semi-custom design offers long lines of glazing allowing plenty of natural light to infuse her interiors, with stunning full-height windows in her main salon.

“We’ve had a very strong reception to this new Amels design – largely because an Owner can step into a new build, make some customisations and yet still benefit from a two-year delivery time,” says Jan van Hogerwou, Damen Yachting’s Commercial Executive USA.

For the 830 GT motor yacht’s interior design, the owner decided to go with two collaborating studios; London-based Studio Indigo and the Swiss team at Pure Living. These designers will also have been responsible for the yacht’s accommodation, comprising six staterooms for up to 12 guests.

These include a full-beam on-deck master suite featuring a folding balcony terrace and adjacent cabin that can be used as a VIP cabin or as an extra suite for children or staff. Alternatively, it could be used as an office, or even a gymnasium. Her remaining cabins can be found on her lower level.

Although her interiors remain tightly under wraps, we do know she features a wellness beach club, hot tub on her top deck, large 9-meter tender stored on her foredeck and a touch-and-go helipad.

She also features IMO Tier III compliant hybrid power and propulsion technology, with a transatlantic range of 4,500 miles.

Upon delivery, the latest Amels 60 yacht will join sister ships COME TOGETHER and ENTOURAGE – delivered in 2022 and 2023 respectively. Currently, there are four new builds in the series under construction.
