Following her February 2021 launch (which, thanks to an extremely foggy day concealed most of her details, in keeping with this top-secret project) and undertaking subsequent sea trials, 140m (459ft) expedition yacht SOLARIS has been delivered to her owner. She represents the second-largest superyacht build of the year so far, just behind 142m (466ft) motor yacht NORD. Superyacht SOLARIS currently remains at builder Lloyd Werft's Bremerhaven shipyard and has yet to undergo her maiden voyage, though this is anticipated to happen shortly.
The project has been largely shrouded in secrecy, with few details shared publically. But here's what we do know following eight-deck yacht SOLARIS's launch in March (despite a misty debut): she has two beach clubs, a vast swim platform, and an aft glass-bottomed pool. She is also fitted with a helipad and her own crane onboard to easily launch tenders at a moment's notice. Designed by Marc Newson, this also represents his first foray into superyacht design.
No, she is thought to be a private yacht (with her rumoured owner to be Roman Abramovich) and will not be available for yacht charter.
