With the 2013 edition just around the corner, show organisers for Monaco Yacht Show 2014 have already announced plans to significantly increase capacity for next year with an additional 15 berths.
The announcement comes after a new partnership was signed last June by the three major players of Port Hercules: the Monaco Harbours Management Company (S.E.P.M.), the Monaco Yacht Club and the Monaco Yacht Show. The development comes in response to demand from brokers and shipyard’s dealing in a buyer’s market and keen to take full advantage of the world-renowned reputation of the event.
Monaco Yacht Show 2014 is set to feature additional space at the Port Hercules entrances to accommodate four 35m and four 40m yachts, one 45m unit, two yachts of 50m, one of 68m, one of 90m and two 120m superyachts. The extension marks an impressive expansion in the quantity of luxury yachts available for viewing at the show, including a line-up from the global charter fleet, which will now play host to an impressive 118 yachts compared to 103 attending in 2013.
This development project will only further enhance the show’s competitive advantage within the yachting industry with an intention to ensure Monaco remains ‘the capital of yachting’.
