To celebrate the show's 25th edition, this year's Monaco Yacht Show will signal the start of a new era for the world-famous event, with its refreshed look comprising of a modified exhibition area and extra superyacht berths.
One of the most significant changes to the Monaco Yacht Show will be the relocation of its historical exhibition area from Darse Nord to Quai Antoine 1er. This follows news that the Monaco government have given the green light to begin renewal works at Port Hercules. The new location at Quai Antoine 1er offers approximately 2,825m2 of space, which will host two exhibition tents.
To accommodate superyacht measuring over 100 metres, three berths alongside the Quai Rainier III will also become available for this year's show. Resultantly, the total of luxury yachts afloat at this year's Monaco yacht Show will come to 121.
Due to the events extension from Jetée Lucciana down to Quai Rainier III, the show's reception, information and transport areas will feature throughout the whole of Port Hercules.
For the yacht show's 25th anniversary, a wide range of the world's most impressive superyachts are expected to be in attendance. To find out more information about organising a luxury yacht charter for the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show, contact you preferred charter broker for more details.
New berths for mega yachts measuring over 100 metres (328ft) support unsubstantiated rumours suggesting the brand new 101.5m motor yacht Feadship 'Hull 808' could be in attendance this year, replacing the 91.5m Oceanco motor yacht EQUANIMITY as the largest vessel ever to attend the Monaco Yacht Show. Feadship's statement that she will be retained by the shipyard to be used as a ‘showpiece of Feadship excellence’ further corroborates this speculation.
