With the backing of the Thai government, this year’s Thailand Yacht Show is set to present the country as a viable alternative to the Caribbean in winter.
Taking place between 14th and 17th December at the Ao Po Grand Marina, the Thailand Yacht Show 2017 is expected to be bigger and better than ever before.
Indeed, organisers have described in a recent announcement how they intend to ‘to tear up the traditional format and create a 360-degree experiential event that engages with visitors’.
Particularly keen to reach out to charter guests on the lookout for new experiences, the show is set to demonstrate how Thailand ‘offers cruising grounds that are unrivalled anywhere else in the world’.
Cooperating with the necessary government bodies in the lead up to the event, event organisers have also explained how they are helping to establish ‘an attractive framework to entice more superyachts to the country’.
Whilst the show is still in a relative infancy- the 2017 edition will be the 3rd event- the Thailand Yacht Show has already earned a reputation for hosting some seriously impressive motor yachts and sailing yachts.
The 69m/226ft motor yacht SALUZI was on display at last year’s event, for example, and caused a sensation amongst all of the discerning guests who turned out- hours of water toy and tender demonstrations generated plenty of intrigue in the marina.
Besides such visual spectacles, the show is also an important opportunity for the captains of industry to gather together at seminars to discuss how to elevate Thailand’s status to that of a key charter destination.
Sure to promote Thailand as one of the finest yacht charter destinations in South East Asia, the Thailand Yacht Show is sure to become a key global event
No doubt one of the most convincing attractions of the show is the Ao Po Grand Marina itself, with its unrestricted access and outstanding collection of facilities sure to tempt guests to a return visit.
Set to be lined with exhibiting luxury brands which relate to the superyacht lifestyle, and an outstanding selection of charter yachts, there’s every reason to expect that the Thailand Yacht Show 2017 will be a glittering success.
As more news becomes available regarding both the show and superyacht infrastructure in Thailand, YachtCharterFleet will be sure to keep readers fully informed.
