By Rebecca Bradbury   11 February 2019

With the 2019 Miami Yacht Show just days away, we round up the must-see superyachts on display at the event as well as its sister show, Superyacht Miami.

Regulars at Miami's annual yachting showcase will be keen to check out its new location when it gets underway on 14 February, spread between the Venetian and MacArthur Causeways on Biscayne Bay.

But, as always, the true stars of the show will be the attending superyachts. Therefore, here’s a cross section of the best yachts attending the Miami Yacht Show, as well as Superyacht Miami, to be held in conjunction with the main event at Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island.

Kismet

The largest and most impressive superyacht on display will be the 95m/312ft superyacht KISMET. An award-winning Lurssen build, she will be sure to attract plenty of attention berthed in Miami with her bold exterior, which is defined by high contrasts, lots of glass and a long, prowling bow.

Visitors lucky enough to step aboard will be wowed by her ‘caviar and champagne' themed interior. Reymond Langton Design has used gold metal and honey tones to create a luxurious yet warm atmosphere, enhanced by art deco furnishings such as glittering chandeliers and grand fireplaces.

Always proving to be popular are her piano bar and multi-storey video walls. But she also offers a variety of deck areas charterers never fail to fall in love with, from the sundeck pool and Jacuzzi to the two helipads to the outdoor fire pit. The sumptuous lower deck spa facilities are always a winner too.

Coral Ocean

Arguably the most iconic superyacht on the line-up, the 73m/238ft motor yacht ‘Coral Ocean’ is a must-visit for show-goers eager to admire refined Lurssen pedigree and renowned Jon Bannenberg styling up close.

Docked at Island Gardens Marina, the superyacht is a stand-out choice for Caribbean yacht charter vacations. Her unique safari-themed interiors provide a relaxing on-board ambience, which is heightened by a coffee and cream colour palette and blonde wood accents.

Further adding to her allure, the superyacht boasts a recessed spa pool on the sundeck and spa facilities in the beach club. This comprises a steam room and gym equipment, ensuring guests can keep up their exercise regimes at sea before indulging in some much-needed relaxation.

Excellence V

The 61m/200ft luxury yacht ‘Excellence V’ has had a busy year attending yacht shows across the globe, from Monaco to Fort Lauderdale, and she will now be gracing Miami with her presence.

Launched by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2012, she was designed especially with the charterer in mind. As such, she is jam-packed with the latest amenities, such as a dedicated cinema, a water-side gym, a beach club, multiple outdoor lounges and four spacious guest suites on the main deck.

The yacht also stands out thanks to her elegant exterior lines penned by Reymond Langton Design, the firm similarly behind her interior styling. Wooden floors, leather walls, crocodile table counter tops and gleaming marble combine to create an environment befitting of a modern-day charter guest.

Broadwater

Despite being launched nearly 20 years ago, the 50m/165ft motor yacht BROADWATER remains one of the finest yachts in her class. This prestige is down to a combination of exceptional Feadship build quality and an award-winning 2017 refit and, as a result, she is sure to prove popular in Miami.

Designed to enhance charter vacations, the refit transformed the deck areas so they could satisfy the desire for outdoor living. One of the favourite hangouts on board is now the sundeck, primed with a spa pool, oversized sun pad, wet bar and seating area, but the new beach club also holds much appeal.

The interior similarly benefits from the revamp thanks to the work of Adam Voorhees. The designer has incorporated a retro element into the guest living areas alongside ensuring a calm, casual and inviting environment. A key feature is the stunning central staircase inspired by the Japanese practice of omikuji.

Namaste

An oasis of warmth and elegance, the 42m/139ft superyacht Namaste was launched in 2017 by Overmarine. Her sleek and sporty exterior will turn plenty of heads at the show, while her contemporary and comfortable interiors, which are the work of Italian design firm Alberto Mancini, will impress anyone who steps on board.

The superyacht is devoted to outdoor living, and alfresco dining can be enjoyed in a sophisticated sundeck setting, which benefits from a plasma screen TV and both shaded and sunny seating options. The foredeck meanwhile, is dominated by a glass-rimmed pool and two inviting sun-pad islands.

Stepping inside, those on board will continue to feel connected to their surrounds, thanks to light-infused spaces, floor-to-ceiling glazing and a retractable balcony in the owner’s suite.

Take 5

A truly stand-out delivery from Sunseeker, the 40m/131ft motor yacht 'Take 5' blends the finest amenities with chic interior and exterior spots primed for both relaxation and entertainment.

The sundeck is sure to be a desirable hangout, as it volunteers plenty of sumptuous seating, elegant coffee tables, a well-appointed spa pool encircled by sun pads and a wet bar. Adding a unique edge, there is also a swing chair where guests can get comfortable and drink in their surrounds.

Those looking to make the most of the water will find Take 5 is well-suited to their needs, as she has an expansive repertoire of water toys which includes a basketball hoop, water slide and floating golf set. They can be easily accessed thanks to the yacht’s spacious beach club and swim platform.
