The 36th edition of the Newport Charter Yacht Show will today welcome superyachts to its base, the Newport Shipyard on Rhode Island, New England, before yacht viewings begin tomorrow morning.
Running until 21 June, the industry-only event is a showcase of the luxury yachts available for charter in the region alongside a display of ancillary goods and services for the charter industry.
As yachts open for viewings, charter professionals will be able to undertake exclusive tours and meet with the captains and crews. This ensures brokers are equipped with the insider knowledge needed to best match their clients with the most suitable superyacht for a luxury yacht charter.
Among the top yachts being showcased is the 60m/198ft superyacht ‘Blue Moon’. Embodying unparalleled Feadship pedigree and one of the most opulent interiors the yard has ever delivered, she is one of the finest offerings on the New England charter market.
Also standing out will be the 50m/164ft superyacht HOSPITALITY, a Westport build designed for worldwide cruising and jam-packed with modern amenities and leisure facilities.
Likewise, Benetti’s 44m/145ft superyacht DOMANI is expected to be one of the must-see yachts. This is a charter option for guests looking for a combination of timeless interior styling, luxe deck areas primed for outdoor living and a garage stocked full of the latest water toys.

The superyachts are undoubtedly the show’s main attraction, but there is also a dedicated events programme. For example, talks on ‘changing the face of affluence’ and ‘generational marketing’ will take place during tomorrow’s breakfast slot and a yacht hop will form Wednesday night’s entertainment.
Thursday will begin with the Annual AYCA Educational Seminar. Switching up the format, the intimate session will see six speakers rotate from table to table for ‘speed info presentations’. A cocktail party and awards ceremony for the crew competitions will then conclude proceedings.
Among this year’s contests are a dessert-themed chef competition, a captain’s competition made up of three fun-to-watch challenges, a tablescaping competition, a signature cocktail competition and the Newport Charter Yacht Show Designer Contest, aimed at reducing plastic water bottle waste.
