Sailing Yacht ASOLARE Completes Repairs

By Rebecca Bradbury   12 February 2016

Important repair work is now completed on the 42m/155ft luxury yacht ASOLARE thanks to her original shipyard Hodgdon Yachts, based in Maine, New England.

At the time of her launch in 2004, ASOLARE was the largest cold-molded sailing yacht to ever be built and effortlessly combines traditional sailing with state-of-the-art technology.

The recent work saw the replacement of the mizzen mast, repairs to the aft cabin and deck areas, extensive maintenance to the electrical power, sea water, hydraulic and mechanical systems, and an upgrade to the computerized sail handling controls.

Timothy Hodgdon, President and CEO of Hodgdon, says, “As the original builders of ASOLARE, we are pleased that we were able to complete this important repair work. The company's connection to this boat - combined with our technical expertise - uniquely positioned us for the execution of this project."

Charter yacht ASOLARE is now expected to be available in the Caribbean for the remainder of the winter season.

As well as a graceful profile and powerful performance, the sailing yacht also features a stunning interior of fiddle back sycamore and walnut woods from the award-winning Andrew Winch. Over 350 intricate hand-carved sea motifs and expertly crafted marquetry panels are found throughout, from the warm and bright main salon to the galley.

Other highlights include 180-degree views from the upper salon, a spacious master suite with its own private deck, and plenty of other outdoor areas in which to dine, socialize and sunbathe.

In total S/Y ASOLARE can accommodate six guests in three cabins. For further information, please contact your preferred charter broker.
