New superyacht marina beckons Indonesia yacht charters to Bali

By Anna Ingles   16 October 2024

PT Marina Development Indonesia and Pelindo have announced plans to develop a state-of-the-art marina at the Bali Maritime Tourism Hub, set to elevate the region into a leading South East Asia yacht charter destination.

The new marina is set to feature 180 wet berths, including over 50 berths designed to accommodate superyacht charters up to 295ft (90m) long. Construction is currently underway, with a portion of the marina expected to open in the latter half of 2025, and the entire facility becoming operational by 2026.

Once completed, the marina will offer a wide range of amenities such as a yacht service station with a 200-ton travel lift, fueling station, yacht club, and spaces for offices, dining, hospitality, entertainment, and retail.

The new marina in Bali reflects our commitment to establishing Indonesia as a significant player in the global maritime industry, offering luxury experiences, top-notch services, and world-class infrastructure

Arif Suhartono, Director, Pelindo

Currently offering a temporary mooring system for up to 30 yachts up to 55.7ft (17m), the project involves collaboration with several international companies, including SF Marina from Sweden, known for their expertise in floating breakwaters and concrete pontoons, and Italian firm Plus Marine is supplying electricity and water pedestals with a SmartCloud remote metering system, with logistical support provided by Discover Luxury Indonesia.

Joko Noerhudha, president director of Pelindo Solusi Logistik, highlighted that the new marina will serve as a hub for both yacht owners and Indonesia yacht charters, contributing to the growth of Indonesia's tourism sector and the broader economy.
