Broadening the horizons of future Greece luxury yacht charters, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), part of Greece's National Fund, has finalized an agreement with LAMDA Corfu Marina to develop a state-of-the-art superyacht marina at the Port of Corfu.
This exciting initiative includes a sub-concession agreement with LAMDA Corfu Marina, a division of LAMDA Marinas Investments, granting them the authority to construct, operate, manage, and maintain a new facility year-round. This marina will feature 410 berths, accommodating yachts, and visiting Ionian Islands yacht charters up to 459ft (140m) in length. With an estimated investment exceeding €89 million over 40 years, more than €50 million will be dedicated solely to the marina's construction.
The Corfu superyacht marina is set to offer top-tier services, establishing itself as a competitive charter destination for yachts throughout the popular Mediterranean region. This development is expected to significantly boost both employment and the local economy in Corfu.
This project is advancing the role of marinas as key contributors to regional growth and we are optimistic that Corfu and the Ionian Sea will soon be home to one of the country's most modern marinas.
As the northernmost isle within the Ionian archipelago, Corfu holds a wealth of unique attractions including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town, a plethora of stunning Venetian structures, and picture-perfect cobbled streets.
A popular port of call for Greece yacht charter itineraries, Corfu presents an authentic taste of Mediterranean life, with exquisite cuisine, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of opportunities to test out the latest innovative gear on a watersports yacht charter.
